These translated songs are fantastic for Finnish learners. Thank you so much for your effort. Nice tunes, too. If you had to listen to Finnish teach yourself courses or Chisu or Haloo Helsinki, guess which one is more pleasant? You are helping me learn Finnish. Kiitoksia.

@@TheIdlesurfer Yes its really a tough language to learn. Many say second hardest language in europe. You are doing good :) best regards. A finnish person :)

@@vigeboss1039Thanks for the kind words. My Finnish is getting better. I rode my motorcycle from the far North all the way to Turku. I got to the point that maybe half the Finns I spoke to kept it in Finnish. My mum is Finnish and it was my first language but we stopped speaking Finnish at home because it excluded my dad. 40 plus years later it is hard to pick up again. But my Lord, it is hard. KPT rule, illativi ja ablatiivi, word harmony and so on.

Man what a perfect theme for a cold-war era spy noir about the scandalous love of two ladies who also happen to be secret agents

Voi, jumalauta! Se on vaan herkän sielulle tehty biisi, ja syväsydämilenen, tietosti erittäin musikaalinen nuori tyttö, nimellä CHISU

...PRETZELS....is what happens when translating a Finnish song by the words instead of the meaning of the song context... SIGH..
@tannu43773 жыл бұрын
What should the translation be instead?
@magentaMegi3 жыл бұрын
No, it just takes little effort to get a Finnish workbook, a dictionary or something.... by pretzels you mean knots, btw...?!
@hsk29093 жыл бұрын
@@magentaMegi Rinkeli is not a pretzel, Rinkeli is a borrowed word from Swedish -Ring , in Swedish meaning a circle or a ring that you put on your finger... Rinkeli later used to describe a certain type of bakery, but it does not translate as a pretzel in English , and yes, you're right therefore the word in translation should simply be KNOT and not a pretzel. Given as it is that Finnish is the most complicated language to translate.

@@hsk2909 thank you so much.. At least in Finnish you don't need to worry about gender, no he she it, just on. ONNEA 🇫🇮
@Allyoutoo3 жыл бұрын
@@hsk2909 What you mean it doesn't translate to pretzel? To quote the source of all truth, Wikipedia, ""Kringle (/ˈkrɪŋɡəl/) is a Northern European pastry, a variety of pretzel. Pretzels were introduced..." and saying pretzels aren't straight, that is, that they are crooked or "kieroja" works perfectly well in English as far as I can see 🤔
