Nice tips! How do you handover in NICU? Can you provide an example. Thanks 😊

Absolutely. 😇When giving handover you go through all of the systems that is prevalent for each patient. Most of the time this includes, respiratory (what oxygen support the is patient on) , cardiac (presence of murmurs or cardiac disorders), GI (tolerating feedings, access for feeds), neurology (cranial sutures, hemorrhages) , integumentary (skin breakdown, presence of diaper rash), feedings (what is each baby eating, how much, with a feeding tube or PO), any IV access, medications, any upcoming surgeries or procedures, plans for discharge and if family will be in to visit during the shift. There is a whole lot more but this is the basis. I hope this helps! I can also make a video going into even more detail. Be on the look out for that!
