Chitkul India’s Last Village.
Chitkul is a village in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. Located at an altitude of around 11,000 ft.
With the backdrop of Kinnar Kailash, Chitkul offers totally breathtaking views along the Baspa River. It is said to be the last village on the Indo-Tibet Route and the first village of Baspa Valley.
We took a short walk around the village. It has a calm vibe to it. We did see the famous zostel property in chitkul. They are quirky wall art on houses.
Chitkul is the last village (then the border area starts after a few kilometres). It has a school, post office, and a dhaba (it claims Hindustan ka akhri dhaba (India's last food joint)
