OMG, this is a beautiful story and as I continued listen to Chito's story I started crying out of happiness. Here's a man who is disabled , yet he doesn't complain about anything and people wanna talk about everything that's wrong for them . For a person to do what he's doing cutting the grass along stretches of streets , for free mind you , work's day and night , doesn't get paid and if anything the just loves what he does . I live in del rio and I used to always see him but never knew his name until I met him when I went to my friends house. my tkd training place sort of thing is also a church and when ever he comes by we offer him mcdonalds or something like that, and golden chick gives them free food.

Great guy Chito - lovely soul. Pity it's such a superficial story. What are his living conditions? How is his mother who he supports? What are her living conditions? Why is everybody so excited about the town giving him an award? How about lobbying the city to PAY HIM SOMETHING for all his road work? How about helping him with his language problem and taking up a collection to give him a type-pad interface to communicate with people when he's lying in the street and unable to communicate his needs? (Assuming he can read and write) It's nice that he has support from friends and the tire station guy ... but it's seems there's a lot more the community can do aside from smiling and waving as they drive by.
