Even I reside in Surat Gujarat. I too find difficult to grind sambhar powder since we don't have a separate mill. Thank you chithra mam. I always bring sambhar powder from Trichy whenever i visit tamilnadu

You can grind in Preeti or Sujatha mixie any quantity of powders, but in batches. I have been grinding almost 2 kgs all powders like sambar, rasam all varieties of paruppu podi etc to send to my daughters abroad. Make sure you grind in batches. Follow all other instructions as per Chitra Murali.

In north India, there is no separate machine in the shops like Tamilnadu ( where they keep small mill to grind sambar & rasam powder ) I always do this method and grind it in the mixer and store in bottle.

Like your recipes and love the simple presentation. Mustard! That is something new. I use all the ingredients listed and also roast and add some curry leaves. No mustard. Mustard goes in in the form of tempering.
