Was shopping for vacuum cleaner bags when this DVD caught my eye sitting on a dollar rack. I thought perhaps my kids would like it. They watched it a dozen times and still ask me to put it on from time to time. I'm 48 and I still love it.

So relatable. I've had this since I was born which was 18 years ago, seen it over a million times. It never gets old. Now got the original books ordered and on their way 👌

@@solus_music how’d you like the books? I’ve only read the first one but it was a very different experience than the movie…

@@zaksnow2233 the books are a bit different. I have book 1 out of 3 of the 1964 publication. They also speak older English than in the film

Saw the idiotic critics have since given this poorer reviews over time. One in particular caught my eye saying something like "the music and songs are instantly forgettable." Sorry, what's that? I can't hear you over BANG BANG, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG!

Well clearly she is OUR Five four fendered friend and not theirs. Maybe those reviewers are spies from Vulgaria?
@CarterHancock4 жыл бұрын
@@Queenmoreta Ah very well could be. Given this is more of a kid's film and the elites in Vulgaria aren't known for liking kids, that story adds up!

@@CarterHancock That's my favourite thing about Vulgaria. The Child Catcher is my favourite character in the movie and my hero. I'm with Gutfeld, I hate children.

Not only the title song, but “The Roses of Success” is one of the most simultaneously catchy and inspiring songs of all time.

I remember seeing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins for the first time in an honest-to-goodness drive-in on Long Island. Those were the good old days. Seeing Dick Van Dyke recently on The Masked Singer brought back many fine memories.

I showed this to our high school band and they absolutley loved it. i know this because the nostalgia was so obvious you could practically see it especially at 1:57 when they practically started marching around the room.

This is my little brothers favorite movie. He has loved it since he was a toddler and to me, this movie is very special and has a special place in my heart. Whenever me and my family would visit my Abuelo, me and my siblings would sit in front of the small living room flat screen TV and watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. But after my Abuelo passed away in 2016 from Leukemia and Dementia, my family and I don't watch the movie much anymore...I'm trying to fix that, but it's hard to find the movie on any streaming service these days.

I grew up in an era (the 70s & 80s) when a special film like this would air on TV once a year, and if you missed it then you were out of luck. Certain films from the classic Hollywood period still capture my imagination and bring me back to childhood: this gem, and also Mary Poppins, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Court Jester, The Seven Faces of Dr. Lao, Pippi Goes on Board, etc. Even past middle age I still enjoy them. Guess I never grew up. This track is great because as an overture it includes many of the delightful musical themes found in the movie. And, really, how infectious and catchy are some of these tunes? Truly scrumptious is what they are!
