Awsome movie. I loved watching this fun movie growing up. It's too bad they don't make family movies.

Quite noble of Dick Van Dyke to come to the rescue carrying Sally Ann Howes not afriad of getting his hands dirty if he has to walk into muddy water to do so.

Excellent Movie! I was born in the late fall of 1978. I Love the Beautiful Scenery, the Beautiful Costumes, the Spectacular Choreography, the Spectacular Dancing and Singing, the Beautiful Music Score, The Beautiful Lyrics and Melody of all the songs, the Spectacular Special Effects, the Spectacular sound effects, the Spectacular Cast! Dick Van Dyke is an American and International Extremely Talented Treasure! The Children are Spectacular! Sally Anne Howes is a Beautiful Actress, Dancer and Singer now in Heaven! Sally Anne Howes should have played Mary Poppins in the 1964 movie Mary Poppins and Eliza Dolittle in the 1964 movie My Fairl Lady!

I've especially wanted to mention that I personally also apparently love the shot of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang racing proudly alongside the big standard gauge train while it's chuffing surely indeed was keeping time with the music, and especially another fact that the steam locomotive that she was racing proudly alongside was wearing the livery that basically does completely represent the Great Western Railway despite the movie about a magical motorcar that gets her name from the sound that her engine makes was made in the continent of Europe exactly 2 whole decades following nationalization of the U K's railways as well as just 8 years after the opening of the Bluebell Railway where Stepney the Bluebell Engine's home happens to be exactly located! In fact, that scene must've been made while possibly going alongside a standard gauge heritage railway!

I've especially wanted to mention that I personally noticed that the tires on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang are actually American origin since they've got the word GOODYEAR written on 'em clearly, and especially since I personally ought know through a really awesome observation!

My guess is that her engine stalled unlike the first time. It probably wasn't worth the trouble cranking it up again seeing in that it the time it would take for it to actually start up the car would have sank further into the mud. Engines back then weren't as powerful as they would be 20-30 years later.

When Truly drive into the river @1:46, that’s considered Strike 2. Because she drove into the river the first time in the beginning when she nearly ran over the kids. That’s Strike 1. Then towards the end of the movie, Truly cuts the angle past Professor Potts and drives into the river the third and final time. Strike 3 and she’s out! 😂😂
