Same for me but vice versa. Lost my mom when me and my sister were 6 and 5. My father sang this song to us every night to get us to sleep (and Hushabye Mountain). He's now 60 and sings it to my children. Never remarried either. 30 years on, he's still faithful to my mom.

The Breakfast Making Machine was one of my favorite scenes from the movie! I remember as a kid, I kept on watching the scene back and forth nonstop! This movie made an impact on my life, my creativity, and also my love for Musicals! :)

Seriously! My son, just yesterday, said CCBB had "great graphics". That completely shocked me! He was surprised when I said 1967. He is 9, (my daughters are 2 & 3) and a complete gaming/computer freak. So, apparently, if a story and the music are good enough to hold HIS attention in 2018, new updated graphics don't matter!! I hope they never remake it, because they will completely screw the whole thing up and lose the charm. Remember Willy Wonka vs. Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. Don't mess with the best.
