Same for me but vice versa. Lost my mom when me and my sister were 6 and 5. My father sang this song to us every night to get us to sleep (and Hushabye Mountain). He's now 60 and sings it to my children. Never remarried either. 30 years on, he's still faithful to my mom.

The Breakfast Making Machine was one of my favorite scenes from the movie! I remember as a kid, I kept on watching the scene back and forth nonstop! This movie made an impact on my life, my creativity, and also my love for Musicals! :)

I was born in 1996, but we always had videos from the 1940-1960s in the house. They're the movies I grew up with. I loved this film so much. The child catcher still scares me to this day.

Since the first time I watched this movie when I was little, I have always wanted a contraption like that to make me my breakfast. The tiny train, the ferris wheel of eggs, plates with wheels that roll down a track to deliver the food to my table. Everything. :)

This song never fails to touch my heart, as all the songs that the Sherman Brothers do. I love all the song that the Sherman Brothers made for films. If I met Richard Sherman, I'd love to shake his hand and tell him how listening to the songs that he and his brother Robert made for all those magical films molded me into the man I am today.
