I constantly get shamed by other black women because I am not into switching roles. They think I'm not a down female and that I'm incapable of properly loving a man because of this. The standards are so low nowadays that I see black women say that they would kill for a man who isn't a provider as long as he doesn't cheat. Isn't that what you're suppose to do in a exclusive relationship? From what I've seen, women who provide for their men get cheated on the most. Thank you Chloe, this message is really needed. I see this everyday and it saddens me to the core. I have known women who have done the very same thing for the dusties in their lives. Now that its TAX SEASON the dusties are really working it. I have a family member that is basically providing for her man, she pays his bills buys his food and gives him money to go out with his homeboys. I once tried to tell her that she should stop doing this because this man treats her like dirt. He has zero respect for her and he even jumped on her during an argument and damaged her back. She is spending the kids tax money on this loser instead of fixing up her home for herself and her kids. She really believes that man has her best interest at heart but he doesn't. He only shows up when its payday and tax season then when he has taken all of her and the kids money, he ups and leaves her heartbroken and crying like a fool. This man has a baby with her and she thinks that will keep him by her side. She halfway cares for the children and her home but she makes sure that dusty is living comfortable with everything he needs. He leaves her when he has collected all the money and then goes on to the other single mom and does the same thing to her. Its funny how these women think they "got it going on" until they are left broke and broken. Chloe please make it make sense.

As a child I was highly criticized and outcasted both at school & other wise in my personal life. I lost my willpower at age 15-16 & now at nearly 25 I’ve spent a whole decade being a “yes man” & doing everything for everyone just in hope of getting some of what I need & deserve rightfully as you teach. I became drained, received most the health issues you said, lost weight & was still disrespected & tested in every regard. I’m so blessed that god gifted me with your Chanel & content. WOW! Thank you Chloe, this is a much needed message for tax season and beyond.. Ladies, if a man wants to know your financial situation RUN. These men need OSCARS for the performances they put on around this time of year. I keep a gaggle of platonic Male friends, and I overhear them discussing the tactics they use to extort money out of unassuming "good women"... yes I said extort. One in particular told me about a situation where his friend utilized emotional manipulation to extract money from a "fat girl". He laughed as he explained his game plan. He recounted that he played nice the closer it was to payday. Every week he strategically played mind games until he conditioned her to part with half her paycheck! Ladies, the first step is honesty, and that's with yourself. If you are overweight and unkempt these men are using you for money and comfort. I didn't want to accept it either but they only care about looks. They assign value to you based on that and decide if you are a target to be used or someone they are genuinely interested in. If they like you then will spend on you. If he doesn't spend on you or expects you to provide for him you have a low value in his mind. Ladies, keep your money in your pocket and invest in feminine upkeep, clothes, hair, nails. That will help attract better quality men, and keep dusty men at a distance.

I've found that most of this behavior is learned/taught through the Brother-Sister relationship. Many Women are damn near forced to take care of Brothers as he/they grow up getting in and out of trouble. So Women/Sisters grow an instinct to take care of Men/Brothers and the Men/Brothers grow up with the expectation to be taken care of. The I am my Bothers Keeper syndrome that some Women/Sisters never grow out of. As Dr. Kunjufu used to say, some Mothers raise their Daughters and love their Sons.

Not to mention, the woman is also resentful of her man-child because he doesn't do enough if anything and she has to bring home the bacon, fry it up, save the grease, make his plate first and then serve it to him.

My parents are like this and honestly, seeing it growing up instilled in me to run away from similar relationships. They have been together over 30yrs an my mom, at 65, is still running things. Nothing but animosity and resentment between them.

My Step Father hip me to this situation I diden know. Anyway he was an electrical engineer and he believed the men suppose to work. And women only if they wanted to. He was easy going. Treated my mom and family respectfully cause he was a Masculine Male.

I feel confused. My boyfriend pays all of my bills except my phone bill. I live in one of his homes. I say that because I had a convo with him recently about if we had a daughter I would want her to be provided and cared for. He on the other hand said he want an independent daughter and that if anything he wouldn’t mind her building up a man. It’s safe to say I don’t see this relationship going further. Smh he wouldn’t mind his daughter being a work mule for a man. 🤨

M Lane 2years & Yeah one of his homes. We live in the same state. It’s just confusing that he fully supports me but acts like he wouldn’t want that for a daughter. He is like the perfect person to me but I’m really picky about how I want my children to be raised & treated once I have them so I’m like confused if I should just leave cause of his statement. It turned me waaay off. I’m not raising a work mule

This is GOSPEL... wish I had learned it sooner. Single mothers who have to hustle to provide, 50/50 situations and the woman bringing home the bacon... we are not biologically and psychologically set up for this and it takes a toll.

What men don't understand is that these gifts comes with the hefty price of disrespect for men. It's sweet at first, but it turns sour with the men eating serious losses

BUT, let's also talk about women who buy into a man's so called potential. So, so, so many women get sold the dream and the finesse that they see a good man with a good spirit but it's ok that he is not financially together. In her thinking she is there to help because she believes in him and that by her love he will make good on who he envisions he is. Playing house and a couple of children later she realizes that nothing has changed with him and she was sold a bill of lies, her eyes become open to what she couldn't see before, She Got Played!

I am always looking at the women in my apartment building, how they are physically and their appearance in general, and I can safely say that they are with a 50/50 dusty. There are only about 2 or 3 women who seem very feminine and take care of themselves, two of them may not have children, the rest are aging terribly and seem frustrated. I don't want to be one of them in the future. It scares me.

When you said it makes women age I can definitely see it affect the women my age and I’m only 23. Like I saw this girl at the gym the other day I used to go to high school with and i barely recognized her. She looks a solid 35-40 in the mit. Idk what life did to her but back when I was 15 I knew she was tryna play the shit out of this really nice dude for someone else and I felt horrible how she treated him, now it looks like karma had it’s way w her. 🤷🏼♀️😗
