About protosynthesis interacting with sticky web: When protosynthesis activates, it boosts the pokemons highest stat. While items like choice specs don't affect which stat gets boosted, stat boosts and stat drops do. For example, a flutter mane that would normally have its speed boosted, should it use calm mind before activating its ability, would get the special attack boost instead. Since sticky web activates before protosynthesis it can cause a paradox pokemon that woud normally get a speed boost get a different boost instead. In game 2, the opposing flutter mane got a special attack boost, but it is possible that it originally was spped booster.

FYI. Collision Course has a secondary effect that boost damage (by 33%) if it hits for weakness. 220+ Atk Koraidon Collision Course (133.3251953125 BP) vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Terapagos-Stellar through Reflect: 156-184 (66.1 - 77.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO Terapagos was already damaged and have Tera activated for the calc. However, it looked like a high roll and Leavanny's Lunge mattered.

Yeah that Collision Course in game 1 was going to KO lol. The first hit was not very effective and did about 25% and the next hit was not only super effective, but had a 33% boost minus the sun boost. someone did the calcs here

Its tera type probably is just really inconsequential to how the team works. Its damage output isn't meaningful enough to justify an offensive tera, Focus Sash means you don't need a defensive tera, and it's always smarter to terastallize something that can take advantage of the speed drops anyway.

You might be able to see some of these things in Japanese tournaments bc they don’t reveal team before top8. but if people are aware of your team settings like in western tournaments, those surprise mon might not be that useful

Without tera shell, collision course 100% KOs the turtle in game 1. The devs knew what they were doing: giving a one up to dlc buyers. From super effective to not very effective = 25% damage AND you lose the boost from super effective hits on collision course. That’s something like 30% off the top. (I’d appreciate correction on the SE boost from the signature move if it isn’t 30.)
