Accidentally got this run while trying out the game at this framerate lol. It probably shouldn't count for the Windows leaderboard but it should be fine for the X68000 one.

Watching makes me think of a line in Top Gun Maverick where Colonel says to Maverick after breaking Mach 10, "You got some balls joystick jockey, I'll give you that" Jaimers should be nickname Mr Point Blank

Looks like a pretty good simulation of playing the game on an X68000 RED ZÖNE, there's 0 slowdown in 24MHz mode. Nice clear!

Oh hey, looks like the Steam Deck frame limiter works well with this game. (Addendum: Some connected displays may still be incompatible with setting 55Hz via Deck Perf settings. However, regardless of display or selected refresh rate, the game should be able to seamlessly switch for accurate replays on any framerate.)

Great stuff! Took me a year to do the same back when I was 16 and still had reaction times. Probably wouldn't be able to do it nowadays tho.

I feel like 2001 most people didn't have LCD monitors yet, and the standard display was a multisync CRT... that still couldn't do 55.85 Hz. 110 Hz would've been a good target, but most monitors couldn't reach it.
@clarkg_vl43Күн бұрын
And i think we need a monitor capable of NTSC-J 4.43 which basically PAL-type NTSC. Right?
@CptJistuceКүн бұрын
@clarkg_vl43 I am unsure why we would need that for a game that has never been designed for NTSC nor PAL.

Does Cho ren sha 68k has a plot? Other than the theory of "breaking the loop", i don't understand why our ship turns into a biplane at the end
