I can't remember one of them, but it was "Powerhouse, No Jelly, " " and Caravelle! Peter Paul makes a mouth taste swell...!" Hi Rhetty! Thanks for posting this video! One candy bar that I love but is in serious financial trouble is the Mars brand bar. Unfortunately- one problem with this candy being financed is that five countries including the US and the UK want a piece of the pie in producing this bar which includes material and production costs split five different ways and there are also concerns with profit divisions. The last time I was a BA Sweetie Candy Company in Cleveland, OH where I am from- the bar was no longer on the shelves. I hope this is not the case- but this was one of my favorite bars to the current date! I will never forget the smell or taste of it! Thanks for posting this video and God Bless!

You can see how important the packaging and marketing was for these bars. Kids were not going to pick up a bar that looked boring, but if they saw a great ad on TV, they would look for that bar on the shelf. Put red or yellow and a dynamic picture on the package or forget it. The name was important, too. I would never have tried something named Zagnut.

The only one I remember on this list was Summit bars. I think I remember Caravelle. I guess most really didn’t sell that well.

I was born in 1980, so Whatchamacallit is the only one of these I remember. I could have sworn I saw some of those at the gas station near my parents' house recently, along with one called Whosawhatsit (?) that may or may not be similar to Thingamajig. Next time I'm down there, I will have to check.

Not a bar but Oompas were amazing. They were like large peanutbutter M&Ms.

Though technically not a candy bar, I miss Butterfinger BBs.

Those were really good. I wish they would come back with a lot of those BBs. Thank you for watching Matt!

Some of those old commercials are really funny: for the Almond Cluster ad, “ugly but beautiful” _could_ be interpreted as, “nothing to look at, but hey nice body!” 👙😆 Others make me wonder if I’ve been in a coma. I did not know Whatchamacallit & Thingamajig are no longer sold. 😳

It sure is. They are constantly trying to do something first over the competition. Thank you for watching my friend.

So few candies (especially chocolate) are available now and many that are, don't taste the same. I miss Caravelle, zagnut, and also one, I think Brach's had it, a white chocolate bar with a creamy peanut butter filling.
