Thank you so much for posting this. I'm hosting a Spring Tea at my church in May and I wanted to use my chocolate fountain that my mother-in-law had given me for my wedding reception many years ago. I had never used it myself so I went looking for a video tutorial. I followed all your steps/advice and it worked perfectly. I've tested it out twice now so that I am sure to know how to get it up and running for my tea party in May!! Thank you!!!!

@LivingRichlyonaBudget Жыл бұрын
Glad that I was able to help you. Regarding preparing the chocolate a day ahead, no I wouldn’t do that because the chocolate will harden at room temperature and in the fridge. I have never tried to store the leftover chocolate.
@ms.laisclassroom812 Жыл бұрын
@@LivingRichlyonaBudget thank you for ur response! I tried it tonight and it’s pretty successful! However, I have to prepare it tonight and hopefully I can just heat up again the next morning easily and bring it out to enjoy with kids. I tested it today when it’s room temperature it does not really harden so I think I won’t put it into the fridge tonight. I will keep u posted how it goes. Fingers-crossed.

@ms.laisclassroom812 The worse thing is that if it hardens you’ll have to microwave it. Good luck!

The chocolate fountain instructions say to turn off and wait for 30 seconds. If your fountain stops after 5 minutes, I would contact the manufacturer.

Hi Lorna, you can but the olive oil flavor might overpower the flavor of the chocolate. If you’re looking for a healthier oil, then you can try grape seed oil, which has a neutral flavor.

You need oil for the fountain to run properly and not clump up when going through the pump. (If you’re doing a simple fondue then it doesn’t matter as much.) The oil to chocolate ratio is what is recommended by the chocolate fountain manufacturer. If you look at chocolate melting wafers sold for chocolate fountains, there is a lot of oil in them too. If you don’t believe me, you can try it out yourself in your chocolate fountain.
