cooking it simple
ingredients
for cake:
medium eggs 3 no
all purpose flour 1/3 cup
cocoa powder 1/4 cup
baking powder 1/4 tsp
salt 2 pinch vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
for filling:
whipping cream 1/4 cup
for ganache:
dark/milk chocolate 1/3 cup
whipping/heavy cream 1/3 cup + extra
tips:
1.while mixing make sure you don't lose the air in the batter.
2.it is recommended to use a rectangle shaped tray for a good looking roll. if you dont have one, go for a circle tray or cook the cake directly in a pan.
3. use an aluminium tray or heat proof baking tray.
4. the height of cake batter poured must be less than 1 cm, otherwise it will be difficult to roll.
5. if not ready in 5 min, keep for another 2 min.
6. if the cake is in circle shape, trim edges and make it square before rolling.
7.roll the cake when it is hot, only then the cake remains flexible to roll.
8. be gentle, don't break it.
9. you can fill jams, fruit purees, chocolate spread etc inside the cake.
