It is an absolute winning combination. The problem is £4.99 is just too high, it's better to buy a bar or dairy milk for £2 and a packet of crisps for £1 and shove them both in your mouth at the same time. You also get to try an infinite amount of chocolate to crisp combinations then as well, rather than the three on offer.

We had a similar product in Ireland for a few months if I recall. The popular Irish crisp Tayto in a chocolate bar form. Don’t think it went down well with the public so it was discontinued. I loved it however

I tried chocolate and chips more than a decacade ago in Japan as a souvenir. The famous Japanese chocolate brand called Royce sells chips completely covered in Chocolate. I just bought them once out of curiosity, not my thing.

I'm with Steven on this. I can't say that it appeals. There again, when I was growing up, as with many Welsh farm households at the time, a 3pm break whilst making hay often consisted of a cup of tea or barley water with jelly and ice cream and buttered sliced bread. On different plates, but typically simultaneously eaten together. I never understood the concept and would first eat the buttered bread, before eating the jelly and ice cream. This chocolate and crisps combination just reminds me of that weird summertime break time snack.

We found them in the clearance section in a local garden centre for £2.50 and decided to try one. We wouldn't pay £2.50 for them again, let alone £4.99. The texture was too crumbly (the bar was in pieces by the time we got home and it was only in my handbag) and I expected to taste potato crisps, but didn't. The salt & vinegar flavour came through, but it was strange-weird, not interesting-weird, even though we both LIKE weird combos. :(

I'm with Steven. I mean, yeah you might be able to turn a bit of a profit on it at first, but the gimmick of it will die out fast. Plus, 1) It's no different than eating a bar of chocolate and a bag of crisps at the same time (and anyone you see doing that you'd consider to be a right lard arse). 2) Isn't there enough sugary, fatty crap out there causing diabetes and obesity levels to skyrocket without this woman throwing her two pence in.

So this company isn't a manufacturer - the manufacturing is outsourced. It's not inventing the chocolate with crisps today, they've already been invented yesterday. So what does the business actually DO? Where does it sit in the value chain? No-one ever seems to tell us on this show.
