I think the person mean because there's some idols who was born/raise in america or in any country that involves english, usually loses their american english accent. Rose would be in korea for a very long time being an idol for herself, she will end up losing her accent. But YG artist is known to learn english or speak for their international fans. Summer_Cotton_Island Rose was born in New Zealand and raised in Australia that's why she is fluent in english cause it is her first language. but jennie was born in south korea and studied in New Zealand.

I think she adjust it to whoever she speaks with because even with natural english speaking people Aussie accent is a bit hard to understand sometimes.. listen to their Arirang Radio guesting and you will fully hear her Aussie accent because the host's accent is brittish..

Well it makes sense because Australia is in the Asia-Pacific and is therefore very popular with asian students who come to Australia to learn and study English. Even though America is much more popular, Australia is closer and just more convenient. So it’s very common to meet an english speaking person from Asia who has more of an Aussie accent.

kajsfnv I listen to a lot of Australian podcasts. And they are young people. I don't know where they live, but they have an accent. They don't sound like Steve Irwin, but Rose just sounds like a girl I'd meet in America. Fine not everyone in Australia is going to have an accent. But I'm not saying she's not like Steve so she must not have an accent. I just don't hear an accent. But also I was raised in Miami and the carribean. So maybe that has something to do with my opinion.

I can definitely hear mild Aussie accent, but I agree it’s not as pronounced as maybe Natalie Tran for example. Rose may have lost some of her accent since she’s been away from Australia for several years already. If she’s been watching a lot of American TV shows for research or fun since she moved to Korea, it could have an influence. She could also be interacting a lot with Korean musicians from America.
