So this is probably the longest video I have EVER watched all the way through, and I usually can't do that because I start falling sleep with most longer videos. But this one never got boring. The editing and comedy really helped keep me engaged. Watched a quite a few complete playthroughs now, which again, I don't normally do, and can say, Choctopus is now one of my favorite youtubers on the platform. 5 stars.

I think my favorite sage is definitely Tulin. Not only is he pretty useful for exploration, but he’s just sooo cute! He’s the only one I have activated all the time AND the fact he can headshot Lynels to stun them makes him even better hehe. I think Yunobo is a close second tho because he’s also adorable and can destroy rocks and ore so fast!

It's not hard to do. This game showed me I was not a builder so I tried to avoid doing it whenever I could unless it was pretty basic. I didn't even know how to get more battery - rather, i completely forgot how or where until the end of my first playthrough (over 100 hours later). I only had a second battery going in to fight ganondorf after looking it up.

the funniest weapons in this game are by FAR the mushroom weapons. just slapping a mushroom on a stick lets you absolutely YEET enemies with charge attacks and i find that to be the peak of comedy

Idk it just feels like cheap storytelling to have “you can’t go back after becoming a dragon” be stated so many times, and then for the writers to just go “actually we were kidding happy ever after.” Though i did really like the catch at the end mirroring the beginning

Sonia explains the power in the Zelda and Sonia memory, and Rauru and Sonia amplify it at the end the same way Sonia and Zelda amplified Rauru's light beam in the Gerudo memory. Link restored her based on his last memory of her (assuming you spedrun and skipped the tears, this would be the moment he saw that vision of her giving him Recall and you could even include the various visions of Puppet Zelda since she looks identical to how Zelda did then), recalling the object's memory and returning it to its original state like Sonia said. Mineru was just going off stories dating back who knows how long so it was only irreversible as far as she knew based on her limited knowledge. So no, this doesn't contradict anything.

​@jialin7 nah we were dumb to never question whether Recall could work on a living being. They were careful to never hint to it (plot has a bad tendacy to treat the player like they're especially stupid this game, so it was nice to be surprised and not beat over the head with the obvious). It brings up the morals on reversing death and would understandably be a taboo application of recall. I'd like to think Sonia knows and wisely didn't tell zelda - it could lead to trouble later if she or her descendents grew distraught and desperate enough with that kind of power. Also I love that they foreshadowed that zelda has an echo ability.

I played over 200 hours of this game and by the time i decided to do the final boss, i think i got about 65%. Got as many armor pieces as i could, lit the depths, got all shrines, solved most of the side quests, you know, the basic little stuff. Such casual play!

I personally hated the lack of fast travel in the tutorial. I wanted to be able to warp to the first shrine to make getting to the Temple of Time much easier, but because the bird things are janky, I repeatedly died of fall damage.

They're not janky, they obey physics. You can't just stand on the left and expect it to glide straight. All your weight is bearing down on the left side so it'll naturally turn, and the right side eventually tries to go vertical. Stand or crouch in the center, and you should be fine. If you want to turn safely you barely need to move right or left from the middle. Hope that helps. I too also do not like we cannot fast travel immediately.

I'm one of the only ones who played Totk a different way, which is weird because it was the complete opposite for Botw. I'm glad Choc is on the same page as I am, because It's good to feel like you belong. The reason I say this is because most of the Totk playthroughs I saw were always in the exact same route of phenomena, Rito, Gerudo, Zora, then Gorons. There was NO variation between any of them. I thought Choc took that route, but I'm glad to say he didn't.

Fun facts about the depths it's inverse of the overworld with rivers and lakes being walls highs in overworld being lows the lightroots being under shrines and names being reverse of those names bargainer statues under goddess statues stables being lynels except for 2 and it can stop a blood moon (I've done that plenty of times)
