Never thought watching a talk about a "video game" would make me cry, but here we are... [uncomfortably chuckles] That was heavy, wow. I absolutely love your jam. Keep it up

Oof, sorry if it caught you off-guard. 💙 I'm glad you were able to make it through, though, and hope it (ultimately) resonated in as comforting a way as it can. If you need a palette cleanser, the vids on Kind Words, Rhythm Games, or Zelda/Tetris (Three Two One) should do the trick Take care of yourself in the meantime!

@@ArchivistShepard NGL it did kinda catch me by suprise, but honestly it was the kind of video that I needed rn so, it was a good kind of cry. From the few vids that I've watched so far I've really come to admire your ability to tie things together the way you do. I'll def be checking out what you suggested. Thanks for the kind words and I hope you see the success on this platform that you so rightly deserve with top quality stuff like this 🙂

It's interesting to see a different perspective on this. The lack of a definitive ending was actually my biggest gripe with this game. The way you talk about it makes me think of my time with it a little differently. Nice video :)

Honestly, it's one of the few games that's pulled a "multiple endings" shtick and (in my experience) pulled it off pretty flawlessly. Perks of a text-based experience, maybe, but still. I'll also need to revisit it sometime, but when I hit my final ending (electing to stay on the Eye), after credits, it finally kicked me to the menu, as opposed to other "endings" where it presented the prose, rolled credits, and dropped me right back into the game. If that's the case, maybe it's a matter of us deciding when our ending is and choosing to stop the narrative there as organically as possible, rather than jumping back in to experience "everything." Again, something worth revisiting on my end to confirm. All the same, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Hope some of the other ones vibe with you, too!
