Been listening and watching him perform for 35 years. Back home in Australia we are a cynical bunch but I consider this performance to be one of the best of Overkill. I also think he is actually singing better than ever. His voice seems to have more power. There are some pretty high notes and he gets there effortlessly. You can get a feeling for his pleasure in hearing the choir as they sing their section. He is just closing his eyes and sucking in the sound. Go Colin... Definitely do not fade away, mate. We won't let you.

It fits with my depression and anxiety perfectly - overthinking, inability to sleep, fear of failure and so on. Things can get on top of me but I always have this song to fall back on to basically tell me it's ok and things "will be alright".

indeed, thank you SCRUBS.

Totally agree, this version brought me to tears, and the song itself fits to my insomnia problems and ghosts, in a way not applicable to me 30 years ago (I am entering my fifties)

Yep, that Scrubs version made me go, "I thought it was only ME who loved this song!" (It didn't make the Top 20 in the UK). Zach Braff was a big fan, apparently.

Hay's little vibrato that emerges on sustained notes...something so fetching about it... Rediscovered this song through this show...OH...WOW. So moving. Fabulous lyrics. I hope to see Hay one of these days. Where does he live now? BRAVO.

Pretty sure he's a California resident nowadays. Has a wife, still does his thing from time to time.

Takes me back to a better time. This song especially hits me hard in these very turbulent times we're living in right now. He is truly underrated. This song should be in every home.
