@teslajayde96412 жыл бұрын
@@DarlingDevil4691 It more than likely did because I'm not a mother either and this video completely got to me. From the moment she asked "can somebody help me?" it was like I could feel her fear and despair and the tears started flowing. And then we she screamed "my babbbyyyyy" I just lost it. I had to pause it, because those were the words of a mother on the brink of losing her baby right in front of her eyes.That's not my child but I felt like I was on the same emotional roller coaster as the mother. So yes, it's very possible your maternal instincts kicked in. Not to get too scientific but it's quite literally embedded in our DNA as women to nurture and protect our young. Now I know men absolutely love their children just as much as we do but a mother's love is truly unlike anything else. Way back before evolution became what it is now, cave women were much like female wolves in the sense that they would help look after one another's child. A pack mentality if you will and although we as humans (more specifically women because of the topic at hand) have advanced immensely, we still have those strong maternal instincts that drive us to love, nurture, and protect.

@@wp869 I’m not sure if you’re being facetious but you need an airtight seal in order to get a vacuum. That’s why the plunger is attached to a face mask which is shaped to the contours of the nose, chin and mouth (and from the website they sell different sizes for children vs adults to get the right fit). A regular round plunger would gape in areas and air would escape so you wouldn’t get enough suction.

Thank goodness for this man! I’m glad the baby’s okay. Just a tip for everyone out there: If a baby is choking, you gotta give them some strong blows between their shoulder blades. I know you’re probably scared of hurting a little baby, but you have to hit hard enough to knock the food out. Besides, the body can heal injuries caused by the Heimlich maneuver. The body can’t fix death.

I was looking at the mom patting the baby's back and thinking that won't do it. Also, initially the baby's position was not right to let gravity help as well. Exactly my first thoughts! I’ve been a preschool teacher for 5 years and am so glad I’m required/learned children first aid/CPR especially now that I have my twins. One of my instructors always said it’s better to be left with bruises and broken ribs than to not try anything at all/death.
