Chonda Pierce tells of her experience inside comedy as a Christian conservative. Shawn Carney of 40 Days for Life joins to talk about the winning battle against abortions in America. Lisa revisits a bleak moment when she was faced with a decision that would later inspire her to be involved in helping young women overcome their darkest days. Chonda picks on Phil to get his reactions, and Al talks about his mom and dad's relationship. And Miss Kay promises to join Chonda on stage.

Thank you, Lisa, for sharing your testimony. I also had an abortion. I was 19. I believed their lies that "It's just a blob of tissue," and "You can always have a baby later." They damaged me so much that I became infertile. Some women are killed by abortion. It is an evil practice. But Jesus died even for the sin of abortion. Thank you all for promoting 40 Days for Life.❤️

Shannon, my heart breaks for you. Please ask God to help you forgive yourself. There is no sin to great for the Blood of Jesus. You sound truly repentant. Don't let unforgiveness toward yourself stop the work God wants to do in your life. Your story can be one of redemption and can save many women from making the same mistakes you did. You can even support women who are in the same situation you were in years ago. God can and will work all things, even your worst choices, together for your good if you let Him. I believe if you forgive yourself as Christ forgave you, you can help so many girls and women.

Just seeing this podcast. Lisa, I can empathize with you about the grimness of the abortion clinic experience. I too had an abortion when I was about 26 years old. I wont go into details here, but I still live with that to this day. I am now 76 years old and have the forgiveness of my Heavenly Father and no longer under Satan's spell. I have 5 other children all grown up and are still with me. my eldest is 59 and the youngest is 41. I thank God every day for them and for my salvation. I'm a member of the Lord's church and have been since 1982. (Whole other story). Love the Unashamed on You Tube. I watch when I can on my laptop.

Such an inspirational show I watch all your shows and I guess I enjoyed this one more than some of others because I was born in Germany to a single German mother in 1959. She was from Betzow which became part of communist Germany in 1961 when the wall was built. She requested Americans adopt me and I later found out through DNA my birth father was American soldier. My father that adopted me was also in the military. I did meet her after the wall came down and saw the dismal conditions she had to endure. My cousin told me the first thing they did when the wall came down was to buy fruit. I realized how blessed I was at that moment. I spent most my life working as a RN in ICU in the states and I am happy to say I became a US citizen when I was 6 years old. When I was listening I was thinking about all the babies not aborted and what they had contributed to society and as you said on another show a ripple effect they have made and will make in many lives. ❤❤❤

Doing my morning routine...listening to this. Lisa....my name being the same as yours, I had the exact same experience as a 16 yo girl. Sadly I was guided by my parents who didnt want to help raise a child and wanted to keep it all a secret out of embarrassment. My mom and I flew to Dallas. I remember vividly the darkness in the clinic. I felt empty and alone and KNEW the act I was committing was wrong and would create a hole in my heart for a lifetime. The "counselor " that took me back to ease me into it... I also had questions but she didnt care to answer. I still cry out to God for forgiveness eventhough I know its forgiven. Thank you for sharing such an emotional experience. I know how hard it must be bc I can never talk about it or even think about it without sobbing. I'm sorry that you went through it..I know how it hurts
