Chongqing line 2 is the only maglev monorail in the world.CRRC have designed a maglev train at 160 km/hr.for.commuters..CRRC has built two maglev lines,one in Changsha,the S1 red line in Beijing and is building 9 more in other cities.

I did not see Guanyinqiao Station in the video , my family lives in that area and is one of the most busiest stations on line 3 during rush hour.

Sun and D-970 I don’t think I ever got off the train at Guanyinqiao Station. It’s under the ground so you can’t see the train from the street level. Next time I’m in Chongqing, I will get off and explore there.

Rail transit line 3 technical transformation project started on Sep11th,2018, scope of Yudong to Jiu Gongli (excluding) section, longtousi (excluding) to jiangbei airport section, transform the 32.38 km line involving 18 station, including the vehicles, catenary, signaling system, communication system, comprehensive monitoring system, platform door systems, car depot yard... ， "6 cars to 8 cars" technology renovation will be deployed for all sections, make the Yudong to jiangbei airport rail transit line 3 section can fully run 8 cars train. After that the capacity of the maximum passenger flow section of rail transit line 3 will be increased by about 23.4 percent after completion of the technical renovation project.

The Line 2 is imported fully solution plan of HITACHI monorail like in Osaka.Subsequently, chongqing CRT group established monorail company and trying to export the localized monorail tech and solution plan. Imported Japanese technology has also been improved and localized,eg.,Line3 is the first monorail line use CBTC system;the improved bogie can make the minimum plane turning radius of the train up to 100 meters Now line 3 is fully domestic trains.Trains made buy CRT itself and CRRC Corporation Limited. Line 3 pioneered the marshalling of eight cars train of monorail. The last row of Hitachi train (line 2) was retired at the end of 2016.The LINE 3 minimum departure time can be shortened to 2 minutes and 30 seconds, and the capacity can reach 27,000 person-time/hour during peak hours, and 37,000 person-time/hour for overloading
