This is to cope with the opening of Metro Line 10 and the opening of Jiangbei Airport T3 terminal. Metro Line 10 passes through Terminal 3, and you can transfer to Line 3 at Terminal 2 or Chongqing North Railway Station South Square.

monorails make so much sense for chongqing, considering gradients involved. An aerial tramway is only good for circulating or point to point, and is too slow to be an alternative to building this rail

One day I want to travel the full length of both Line 3 and Line 2. It is jaw dropping how flipping long these lines are!

Line 3 is 55 kilometers long, has 1 main line and 1 branch line, and 45 stations. It is the longest monorail in the world. Line 2 is 31.3 kilometers long and has 25 stations. The characteristic of Line 2 is that Liziba Station is built in a house.

Somebody know, where does this monorail trains sleep( park )

There are two depots and storage yards where the monorails park at night. One is next to the Tongjiayuanzi Station (3/29) and its at 3:15 on my video. This is north of the city. There is another yard next to the Yujulu Station (3/03) and it is at 9:43 in my video. This one is south of downtown Chongqing.

I think the top speed is around 80kmh or 50 mph.
