It's the baby of an SU-100Y and a T-50-2

The SU100Y was built and used in 1941. The T103 was a paper machine designed improve on the SU100Y. Operation Barbarossa started so production of vast quantities of T34's was a priority and the project was cancelled.

Honestly I wonder if this should've been a Tier 7 heavy tank. Just give it the same 196mm pen AP shell as the SU-100Y (since they're the same gun) and a reload of around 13 seconds. But of course, Wargaming can charge more money for a Tier 8 premium than a Tier 7.

I personally see this tank as a support. Somewhat like a Tiger 1. It lets other tanks take the hits, and uses its firepower and a bit of its armour. Also has the ability to snipe, while also brawl. Somewhat versatile tank.

the thing that makes the T-103 so fun is the fact you can play it like a heavy tank... hull down and reliably pen tier 9's and 10s from the front but its balanced im on console and i love the T-103 and we've had it for a good 6 months maybe longer? i enjoy it more then the Obj 252 mainly because the gun handling and reload is better.

So if you you do spall liner. Wet stowage. And chassis. Technically you become a heavy. Add preventative maintenance and safe stowage and this thing would be really tough to kill. Plus firefighting. Adding chassis+smooth ride+clutch driving. Might make it really maneuverable and a fast heavy. Camo net +concealment+optics+binoc sight+recon+situational awareness. This thing would be nightmare sniper. If you tweak it with a reload buff and blower brothers in arms. It might be a fast firing death dealer. I think it depends on the crew and equipment set up. Its going to be interesting next frontline. XD.

my long time tanker homie got him self his first 8000 bond tank he went with 103 after lookin at the stats and examining the fact he has no tanks with a gun over a 122mm the choice was clear. the ability to Smack things and have them feel the hit and question their advances is satisfying. after a night of playing nothing but t-103 in a view range config and other in a turbo config. i believe an all camo config would perhaps be decent but havent run that yet. its a good unit they call it a sniper td but its like a heavy tank with tank destroyer tendencys. given its speed is heavy tank its armor is mildly heavy tank its gun says super heavy its camo says heavy tank but its view range says td

Basically yes. It's a a T-100 super-heavy tank except with a single huge turret instead of two smaller ones, mounting the same 130mm gun as the SU-100Y. And the SU-100Y is one of the 2 T-100 prototypes that was converted into a casemate tank destroyer. The other T-100 variant to look out for as a possible World of Tanks premium in the future would be the T-100-Z. Basically a T-100 with the KV-2's 152mm derp gun. The second T-100 was planned for conversion to that configuration, but instead the turret got installed on a bunker in Leningrad.

The T 103 one of my favorite tanks its like the Ssu-100y or a Super Su-100y its a strong tank great for hulldown but it is wonderous. However i can say it is not new it has been on ps4 i think for about a year but grand job playing with it you 2! :D
