Malaysian culture is to mix dishes and rice , eat them together. So most of dishes will be extra flavour , rich or spicy, but when mix with plain rice, the flavour become balance. It's totally different with Japanese culture where eat dishes and rice separately

USA originally means udang sotong ayam. but that's a long time ago, nowdays it has turned into nasi goreng daging merah with telur mata because udang, sotong, ayam is too expensive to sell. It is very rare to find the original version anymore. Also daging directly translate to meat, but just the word daging on it's own is usually refer to beef or buffalo meat. Local cheap stalls almost always use the cheap buffalo meat imported from India.

@@evebot883 haha I'm not really miss it. very easy to make. or you can try order nasi goreng udang sotong ayam fullname. but most of the time, making it yourself is better. but I rather not mix sotong and udang. ayam is fine because it doesn't affect the taste much. but for sotong and udang I rather pick either one, fresh, good quality, good amount so the taste really infused into the nasi.

6:58 daging, probably lembu or kerbau but definitely not pork in this case haha. Kebanyakan restoran di malaysia kalau order nasi goreng USA akan dapat telur goreng dan daging masak merah.

Originally Nasi Goreng USA is Udang, Sotong and Ayam but the East Coast people of Malaysia Peninsular have ruined the recipe and changed it to Daging Masak Merah with Fried Egg..

In Malaysia if you want to share you can request for 2x or more empty plates with cutlery. No problem, no extra charge. We usually order 3 to 5 kind of meals and ask for plates and cutlery.

Malay food usually comes with spices. You'll have better luck with "butter" from Chinese restaurant that cooks dishes for you. "USA" fried rice is usually just a name.
@evebot8832 ай бұрын
"USA" actually stands for Udang, Sotong and Ayam. But somehow, some people nowadays use Daging Masak Merah with fried egg instead. And to me, it's actually kinda 'ruined' it.😅
