※ 다람쥐 친구들이 추운 겨울을 이겨내기 위해 땅 속으로 겨울잠을 자러 갔습니다.
완전히 겨울잠을 자진 않고 굴 속에서 반수면 상태로 조금씩 먹기도 하고 배변 활동도 한다고 합니다.
부디 행복하고 건강한 모습으로 봄에 만날 수 있기를 빕니다.
다람쥐들이 겨울잠을 자는 동안에도 계속해서 2020년에 다 담지 못했던 친구들의 이야기들을 전해드리겠습니다.
※ It’s almost winter and our chipmunk friends are taking a break to get away from the cold weather!
When they sleep, it’s not a total hibernation. They wake up once in awhile to eat a little bit and go to the bathroom. Then they go back to sleep until the weather is warmer.
I really hope to see all of our chipmunk friends come back happy and healthy in the spring!
During the winter months I am going to publish some exciting unseen stories from earlier in the year.

I am a grown man… a father and grandfather… yet I smile like a little boy when I watch these videos… And I have also cried numerous times when some of them don’t come back… but it has been especially difficult to find a way to get past missing Chucky… my heart aches for Choo Choo and Tom. We all know that these days will come… but it’s still so sad. But hopefully over time, warm and happy memories will begin to take hold and the sad thoughts will fade away… ❤❤❤

I feel she is no longer with us and I am heartbroken. After watching her latest videos and seeing she was always sick or injured, I felt then it was her time and that was why she had a late hibernation. She was and still is my favorite chipmunk friend of Choo Choo. Next is Wally who is also getting on in years but a bit younger than Chucky.

Somewhere in Cipmunk Land there is talk of a wonderful human name, Choo Choo. And to all chipmunks, she is their hero. They are told at a young age that if they see her, they can trust her. They will notice her by seeds in her hands and she makes nice noises. If there is no seed in her hands then they are told to check her warm pockets. And to never be frighten of Husband...he loves all the chipmunks too.

I did this with a crow once, he would come to my window every morning for some bread I would have ready for him. This continued for 7 years, then one day he just stopped coming around. He either passed away, and that thought broke my heart, or he migrated somewhere else, this is the one I hope is the case. I miss him so much, we named him Ringo Star after my wifes favorite beetle.
