I do like your make-up application. I too am in my 60s and although my skin is good, I still have a few lines and my face is not that taut skin it used to be, but I would never have plastic surgery or botox or any of that crap...I am who I am, and I just want to look Me, just a bit fresher....which a little good make-up application can help with. You always look great at the end of your session, and I did like both looks. Loved that red colour of the lipstick...you definitely have to get the right tone of colour to suit your own tones.❤😊

Love the looks! It is a great reminder for me that easy eyeshadow looks are best for my aging skin. I try some of the younger looks and they never turn out the way I wanted because of my wrinkly, downturned eyelids. This is so much more realistic for me. Thank you!

How can you tell the difference between a cool color palette & a warm palette, I get confused. I'd suggest you google 'colour-wheel'. It clearly shows the spectrum. Cool usually suggests blues and greys, while warm would include most reds, browns and orange. People with reddish undertones, (like myself) usually suit 'cool' colours. For instance, I cannot wear red, but lilac really suits me.

Generally warm colors are yellows, oranges, reds and combinations therein, cool colors are blues, greens and purples. But that is a very general rule. BUT for example you can have a warm red that has a hint of orange, coral or brown and a cool red has a hint of purple. Find a color wheel on line and that might also help.

I followed you a few years ago and have resubscribed. Your makeup tutorials are excellent. I have always struggled with color so I love that your background is in illustration. Back in the 1980’s when color analysis was popular, my mom bought the book and we tentatively decided I should wear Cool Colors. I recently had my colors professionally analyzed (House of Colour) and I am a Spring (Warm). Now I am _really_ struggling with color as I try to deprogram everything I have believed for 40 years about the colors I should wear. Luckily, it’s a fun, experiential problem… And I’m thinking of becoming a redhead!

I have two and two liners, but I never like it, even with the light eye. My number one makeup product purchase in 2023 is Natasha 18:39 Need A Nude palette, and I almost didn't indulge. Can you be more specific about the sponge foundation? Is it in a compact? What brands? If it's what I think you are talking about, IT Cosmetics had one years ago and I loved it. Curious as to what's available now.

@@loriunderwood3734 It’s called a cushion foundation. I have Lava Art Cosmetics brand which is lovely, Dior also, La Mer but the latter two are enormously expensive. Amazon has a bunch and Walmart offers one from Loreal. Happy with Lava Art. Perfect color, looks like skin and they offer a glow or matte formula. I get glow but it’s definitely NOT glowing..but very nice.

Also is a compact! Lava Art charges initially for the case AND foundation pack. Once purchased then you only buy the refill. Fits into the compact easily.

I don't wear makeup that much anymore unless I have a special evening out or a vacation. All foundations looked horrible on my skin never found one that worked expensive or drug store. I tried one more time just last month per one of Kimberly's videos the Revlon Illuminance just to see if it worked. Took forever for me to decide which shade to order so difficult online and you can't go to the store anymore because here in L.A. everything is locked up & it takes forever for someone to come and open the cabinet. They stand there until you pick something so they can close it looking annoyed like you can tell they are thinking can you hurry up. Oops guess too long a story anyway even though the color was just a bit light, it was so moisturizing, easy to put on and 5 hours of wearing it didn't settle into wrinkles or cake up. So happy with it.

Great video! I enjoy your channel so much! We’re the same age, brown eyes, blonde hair and I also have about the same coloring. Cool/neutral tones. During Christmas I wore a beautiful deep blue/red lipstick from Urban Decay. What fun! And I also found ,yself being very careful to keep the eyes and cheeks more soft in color.
