Choose the Correct Tatula Reel

When I first got the Tatula 100 I never knew the spool tension was pre set from factory. From that day forward I still adjust the spool tension per the weight of the lure on those 100 series. Not saying you have to. I just do it.

Daiwa says don't need to adjust. But you may need to adjust the tension depending on bait, rod, and weather. Plus, mine was a little loose out the box. But great reel. I got three 103 SVs. Been throwing the different Tatulas since the first model came out, plus the Cabelas Arachnid, which was an upgraded version Daiwa made for them

I run all zillions and zillion HDs now, but I do have a ‘23 Tatula 100 on my frog rod and it’s a workhorse. I got it on Amazon for $108, and for the money there is nothing like it.

The regular Tatula 100. I don’t think any have been as good casting wise. It’s close but those type r were awesome.
