I'm still relying on my phone for my channel; but I would like to take my subscribers on more exciting journeys including flying, boating, and driving. BG, good to see you’re doing well. Grand kids are super special, aren’t they? Personally, I’m not doing the untested / non FDA approved shot. I’ll stick with ivermectin and I have access to HCQ if needed. To each their own. I’ve got and older go pro and it works ok, except when it gets hot in west Texas and powers itself down. This camera you’re reviewing is a lot better in many ways then my old GP4, but mine does what I need it to do. “Preserve the memories “!! FYI, the heated gloves were a “Finger Saver” during the FreezDemic 2021 of West Texas we had a while back. Again thanks for those. Be safe sir. Enjoy the Grand Kids.

Wow yes you were in the middle of that Texas freeze. Got some family out that way that didn't do so well. I'm glad the gloves proved useful! I've camped out in the Denton area a few times, Paris etc. Was really surprised at the crazy weather with the sudden freezes and tornadoes etc. Now I'm watching the border, I hope they get a handle on that. Congratulations on the new grandbaby. We have 11 grandkids and I'll tell ya what...it's so fun to be able to spoil them and send them home. Those pieces and parts of camera pieces are definitely a bit intimidating but wow look at all you can do with it all!!!

Bobby! Good to see you! That new grandbaby is a keeper! LOL And your beach home is really shaping up - especially that bar for the kitchen. Impressive! This camera is a sweet deal. You discuss positives and negatives, and even the negatives aren't too bad. I hope it goes to someone who will really use it. My husband's doctors have found something new to fix. Medical tests are scheduled for next week. Unfortunately, if I were to get it, it would be several.months before I even got it out of the box. Stay healthy and have fun with those grandchildren. When they are little, they change so fast and they are so entertaining. Looking forward to seeing what comes next for your youtube channel.

Good we are downsizing and my wife retires this next February or March then another camper friend we have about 5 acres and we just put up a 24 by 24 pole barn up dateing the electricity so we can run 50 amps and run electric to a well that was there the property had an old single wide trailer was on it .. we got the well going pulled the old well pipe drove down new . That was a learning experience 🤨 sewer was there so that was good . So plans are to travel in winter and summer at the property .. we are not ready to give up the grandkids so summer with them .. we will see how everything goes I got a lot to learn ..😳

Just a heads up for anyone who owns this camera or is buying one. The external microphone for the V50X does NOT work on this camera. When you buy the camera on Amazon the V50X external mic may be suggested, but it doesn't work. V50 Pro cameras have a USB mini-B port for the mic. The V50X has a USB micro-B port instead. Also, according to Akaso customer service, V1 cameras do not support the external mic, despite Akaso's website saying the V50 Pro SE supports it, and also state the firmware cannot be updated to V5, which is needed for mic support.

Great to see you again Bobby. How's your arm feeling after your first dose? Hope you don't get any side effects with either dosage. Being a grandparent is the best!!! I have four and our newest grandbaby is only a month old. I've got two tweens left at home so it's weird being a grandparent and a parent to kids of all ages. I haven't purchased a GoPro because of the cost & although with all the mountain biking and coaching we do....I still can't see myself dropping that much money on one device that might end up getting lost. The V50Pro Camera did look neat, compact and I think the picture quality was really really decent. One question....does it have a place where you can perhaps put a mic attachment with a fuzzy wrap to reduce the wind noise? Or maybe hook up a mic if you are interviewing student-athletes?

Took the Pfizer, in and out no waiting. No side effects, shot number 2 in about a week. Not sure how well it will fair with the other variants coming out ugh, what a pain. Yes, the camera has a mini usb so an external mic can be connected there although I didn't test it. The Brave 7 coming out soon should be a huge step up, we'll see. You must be so busy with all those kids, that's awesome! Love it

Good video Gene. I'm in a market for one of these actions cameras ,but not sure I want to spend $400 on a Go Pro 9. I was looking at the DJI Osmos Action at $200 but I think this AKASO V50 PRO will be fine for what I want to use it for.

Mitch I would suggest this V50 be used as 'cam number 2' on a multi cam setup. The upcoming AKASO Brave 7 raises the bar but not the price, stay tuned!

That's a great camera for the price, but like you said it is apples to oranges. But for the price it is worth it for a lot of reasons and I like the remote button. What is the lens made of, Plastic or glass on both cameras. Great family is doing good, cute new one is wonderful! I hope you get back in the RV world and you likely get a great following with RV. reviews. Place is coming along too, lots of work there. I got both of my shots and was hoping to start seeing people, but the new variant from South America is now in Boulder and not sure how good the vaccine is towards this bad variant. Look forward to your next video. I thinking this video camera would be great as a truck cam, cause like you said it is only a 100 vs several hundred for the other one and us retired guys must watch our P and Qs. Hi Keith! The lenses are all glass on both. It's a good camera, I would use it as secondary to the primary cam. I would mount it and a few others on the outside of the vehicle/boat/RV etc and use a camera with front facing info display to vlog with. The Brave 7 coming out soon looks very promising. Are you in the US?
