I have an idea: You can evolve your pokemons randomly but only upto a certain level (Let’s say lvl.50) but you can stop anywhere you’d like if you want to keep that pokemon. So you could either battle with a lvl.40 Groudon or risk it and get a lvl.50 pichu.

How about any video idea you already had, but you choose a Pokémon, send your opponent feets/weights/whatever and he tries to guess which one of the three you chose. If he guesses right then he chooses your Pokémon instead (but still can't see actual Pokémon).
