hello jacob, i would recommend you get fixed axle diabolos such as the finesse for doing multiple diabolos, one because it can increase your juggling speed since the axle turns and two because it is easier to control and you are able to do more and better tricks with it. The one way axle is more for doing advance solo tricks such as tilting the diabolo and juggling it sideways or doing finger grinds.

I started with an eagle, went from that to circuses and from those to Diabigs (which I like mainly since 2005). I like diabolos with a bit of weight because they make sync-shuffles look better imho. Many people like light diabolos like Finesse better though. You should only get these: Circus, Finesse, Fly, Suns, Diabigs or Taibolos. Which one of those is totally personal preference but these are all good.

A finesse is a great diabolo. It starts off pretty easy and then gets more and more difficult as you progress. I would recommend learning from an instructional DVD like "The Ultimate Diabolo DVD"

They are basically the same diabolo except for their sizes. The Finesse is a 5 inch diabolo and the Tornado is a 4.5 inch. The materials are practically the same and the Evolution kits can be used on both.

@SuperGiggitty Any diabolo are good for beginner, I think the finesse is the best because its light and beautifull. I have two of them and they are great!

a triple ball bearing axle only turns one way, so when starting you have to make sure you set it the right way or it wont spin and you'll end up dropping it. Many screwdrivers are like this to, where you only screw it one way and instead of taking the screwdriver out, you just turn it back and screw it again.

sundia fly is the way to go iv'e just got one and i previously had a finnesse trust me the fly is a whole lot better you can even mess it up and get away with it it could have like 20 wraps on it and it would still spin for ages ... love it!

@ssstouraitis You'll most likely get more out of a g4. It's easier to handle, can be modified, and if you go into two or three at a time the Performer is going to be too big for that.

I was think of starting two diabolo juggling and was considering getting a pair of Beach diabolos to do that. but seeing the reviews on it and the definition of them on this video made me a little skeptical that they'd do the job. So i was wondereing: should i get something else, like another finesse, or get the two beach diabolos?

I was thinking of getting a Finesse or Circus, since I smashed one of my Spinabolos on pavement last month in the practice area for the high toss competition (never practice a high toss on pavement... ouch).

@archeryking641, i have the 4'' Circus diabolo, is still my first one, means i learned with it and will stay with it, too. Its kind of heavy (which i like, cause i tried to play with a lighter one from a friend and it was kind of hard for me), and has a fairly long spin time. I can perform all kind of tricks without problems, and learn new ones, too. Only problem is that it scratches easily (but i don't really care as long as it don't breaks, which it didn't so far), so i would recommend it.

hmmm...i got a harlequin as well and i love ti. i got aluminium sticks but i find ti hard to do some tricks with. i got short sticks and can't do very long grinds without the diabolo running up the grip. i'd love to be able to do longer and bigger and better tricks,what diabolo should i get?

It depends. I'd say after an hour you should be able to do a few basic tricks.

Harlequin looks fun and it isnt bad. but if you want a smaller one i suggest the jazz, its almost the same as the circus but than smaller. Oh, just saw you're 10.. than the circus (jazz aswell) are maybe too heavy.

I use the Circus Diabolo (Not the giant; I can't speak for that one) and everything your looking for in a Diabolo is included in the Circus Diabolo. (Fun Fact: Cirque Du Soleil performers use Circus Diabolos in their act. Ever wonder why they're called "Circus Diabolo"? Think about it: If they're good enough for "The Best Show on Earth", then they're good enough for you. It's the reason I got one. =) )
