Love this! I especially love hearing why certain fabrics won't work well. It's super helpful. Thanks Seamwork team

Raglan sleeves can be sewn with woven fabrics????
@SeamworkVideo4 жыл бұрын
Most woven raglan designs will have either: lots of ease, dart(s) at the shoulder, or a shoulder seam that runs the center of the raglan. All of these design elements make a woven possible for other raglan designs, just not Finn. For Finn you'll want to use a knit with 4-way stretch.

Is the T-shirt fabric really bamboo or is it just a rayon made from bamboo?
@SeamworkVideo4 жыл бұрын
As I understand it bamboo and bamboo rayon are the same thing. All rayon is cellulose based, with bamboo rayon the cellulose material used is bamboo rather than wood pulp, cotton, or seaweed.

@@SeamworkVideo - Thanks for this. I had just read somewhere that most "bamboo" was actually simply rayon and there might even be new marketing restrictions about it. It is genuinely the base material to make rayon, but it's still just rayon. I thought I had understood that woven textiles made out of the relatively less processed bamboo was something much rougher than T shirt material.
