Thumbs up and another subscription! If you plan on making more videos, maybe you could tell us what types you are growing and why. Your grow room looked really interesting!
@themightymicrogreen17894 жыл бұрын
This is a great idea. Knowing which types to grow first is important- start with the wrong ones and the chance of frustration and giving up is much higher! I will work on that video in December 2020. Thanks for subscribing, and do let me know what else would be valuable to know for you.

Thanks for detail and important information. May I know how much lumens is 6500K?
@themightymicrogreen17894 жыл бұрын
The K refers to Kelvin- it is referring to the COLOR of the bulb. Lumen refer to the AMOUNT of light put out by the bulb. The ones I use are about 2200 Lumen, 20 watt. I hope this helps!

Thank you for the useful information, do those happen to be Barrina LED grow lights? I recently purchased a pack of four off Amazon and at first they turned on but when I tried to plug them into my grow rooms outlets they didn't work. Now none of them will light up in any outlet, ever had this problem?
@themightymicrogreen17892 жыл бұрын
These are, indeed, Barrina from Amazon. I have about 60 of them and they've been amazingly reliable. I had a bad batch several years ago- I think there were several in a shipment of 8 that were defective. They sent me new ones and I haven't had trouble since. I would definitely suggest that you contact them and request a replacement pack. Best of luck!

Hi, thanks for sharing your information. How many watts does one light have to be with 6500k or does it even matter? I am new to all of this and I am having a hard time finding the right lights.
@themightymicrogreen17893 жыл бұрын
Hi there- it is easy to get lost in all the numbers when it comes to lights! The lights I use are 6500K (Super bright white), 2200 lumen (lm), and 20 watts each. I don't know if the wattage is important here- I have seen similar ones with 22, 24, or even 40 watts. But, as the lumen count goes up, the watts go up. I would tend to go for the lower watts- they work great for microgreens and they cost the least to run- win/win! I hope that helps... :)

Great video! Very informative! One question, what do you use to hang your lights?
@themightymicrogreen17893 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I have fashioned hooks out of tie wire (available in hardware stores). I suspend the lights from the shelf above. I make two hanging hooks for each four- foot section of light by using about 12 inches of tie wire (depends on how far apart your shelves are) for each hook. Make a small U hook on one end to attach to the rack above. Next, make a larger U shaped hook at the bottom end to set the light in. I just rest the light in the hook. I'll post a photo on the blog at TheMightyMicrogreen.com to make it clear. Happy growing!
