In this Part-Two episode of our series, Newbie Tank Build, Jimmy will work on the rock placement in his tank. Join us as he touches base with Mr. Saltwater Tank to discuss whether or not rock must be placed in the tank before or after the sand before getting started on his build. Love the rock and aqua scape, that much sand will hold a shit ton of crap over time though. Vacuuming will be a job.

Is looking good- I wouldn't do so much sand maybe one inch or 1 and a half- but if you like it then is all good- besides you got Mr Saltwater advising you ,,,,keep it going., nice video

Why not use live sand? Is it because you used life rock? Is it ok to use both live sand and Life rock?

I was very excited when I found this series but I think I'm giving up on it. I've already invested several hours and I haven't heard a single thing about why or why not to use live sand/rock vs. dry. Not to mention this channel very much seems to be more interested in selling certain pumps and rock sets than educating people. Another question, did they really think I wanted to watch unboxing fake rock or other utterly mundane tasks? I mean really?

I don't know how much sand you should have or if it's just personal preference. Or is too much sand bad because then it holds algea and nutrients and gets dirty? Idk?

That deep sand bed is a recipe for a true nitrate factory not a good idea
