1. The training. Choose camps where other participants play at a similar level and where they train slightly more than they’re used to.
2. The coaching. Send your children to camps where the coaches have experience coaching. Also, send them to camps where they train in small groups and therefore get a lot of personal attention from the coaching staff.
3. Other sports-education options. Some summer sports camps offer theory and strategy workshops, video analysis, health and nutrition classes, or athletic performance reports. All these little extras could really interest your children and add more dimension to their skills.
