sorry, I have a question. Sc2 have the function of automatically eliminating the tripod or do you have to remove it by hand?
@THETA360Developers3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. No need to apologize. The SC2 Business has the timeshift feature which can automatically remove the photographer. The SC2 will eliminate the camera body, but not the tripod. You must create a nadir (bottom patch) for both cameras if you want to completely remove the tripod. You can reduce the work considerably by using a monopod and tripod base. Feel free to ask more questions about the camera models.

Hi. I wanna buy sc2 for real estate. What do you think? Is it useful? I m also preparing real estate Photography education
@THETA360Developers2 жыл бұрын
I do not work for RICOH, but my personal opinion is that the SC2 is popular for real estate. I have an SC2 and an SC2B. The picture quality is good. I believe it is good-enough for real estate. You can set the HDR filter on the SC2 for scenes where there is light coming in from the windows. I recommend you get a monopod, base, and if possible weights for the base. Then use the HDR mode of the SC2 with the official RICOH THETA mobile app. The SC2 does not have timeshift, so you will need to hide behind a wall. If needed, you could merge two pictures together in photoshop or gimp to eliminate the photographer. See this video for example of the monopod and base. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rF6ZZZ-ngrqaeZY The shots from the SC2 are likely good enough to sell the house. The X and Z1 obviously take better pictures, but those models are more expensive. The SC2 is USD 300 and is good value for low volume sites (maybe a few houses a day with multiple pictures per house)

Do you have to connect to the camera/phone via wifi or can I use cell phone hotspot connection?
@THETA360Developers3 жыл бұрын
The V/Z1 have client mode, which allows you to connect to a router. If your phone connects to the same router, you do not have to use the THETA V/Z1 as a hotspot. The SC2 and SC2B cannot use client mode. For the SC2 and SC2B, you need to connect the mobile phone to the camera as if it were a hotspot.

Hi, I am really impressed with your replies each comments as well as giving some resources/link appreciate that. My question is I was just watching another of your video regarding dead battery of V. I do know that Theta has battery issues that drains quick what you could say about Z1. I am thinking of buying it but it's a big deal for me to keep charging it I like to hear your experiences. Thanks for giving your time in advance. Cheers
@THETA360Developers2 жыл бұрын
The Z1 does not have a removeable battery and it will drain at least as quick as the V. You need to use a USB-C cable and a portable battery pack to keep the camera charged while on the shoot. If you ask people online at one of the Facebook Groups, you can get real-world experiences from professionals about what they do. I just met with a professional 360 photographer yesterday and he was using an external battery pack (like the type you use to charge mobile phones) and a USB-C cable to keep the Z1 charged.

I was wondering what stand should I use for interior car shoots with a Z1. Any recommendations? Thanks
@THETA360Developers3 жыл бұрын
If you're putting the tripod inside of the car, it will depend on where you place it. Get a tripod with a narrow top base. See this topic for some specific ideas. community.theta360.guide/t/best-tripod-with-small-footprint-for-theta-v-3d-virtual-tours/5956?u=craig Feel free to also ask this question in the forum again. It also depends on whether you want to use the same tripod base for real estate shots and outdoor shots

For cars: SC2B or V ?? Picture QUALITY with HDR
@THETA360Developers3 жыл бұрын
The V is end of life and not manufactured at the moment. Picture quality is similar. The V is normally more expensive than the SC2B. The V can take shots faster than the SC2B. Most automobile vendors are using the SC2 or SC2B. For that reason, I would go with the more popular camera for automotive at the moment, the SC2B.

Amazingly, people are still buying the THETA V and the community still gets questions on the THETA V I think people are buying it on eBay? Anyway, I don't recommend building a workflow on the V. However, people are still using it.
