The student was throwing a dark Megabass Vision 110. He said it's a good-looking color. I replied, "It looks like a trout dead in ice for a long time." Lol. I continue, "They say Megabass has the best colors. How come they look like dead frozen trout?" He laughed and we carry on.

Great breakdown on colors, I with you on the Table Rock Shad color!!! I have had some awesome days with that color, about fifteen years ago we found a guy in Springfield, Mo that airbrushed and he would make that color, it was fire on Table Rock, I wonder if thats how the color got its name???

My favs are natural , like Pearl melon , or bone , or black and silver , then the translucent, plus can’t forget about the chartreuses , like clown or table rock , those pink get hammered here by speckle trout , I’ve got em but mostly in my saltwater gear

Of you're looking for the bright colors check out saltwater editions of your favorite jerkbait. I also like to spray some of my favorite translucent baits with flat clear paint. It gives me another level between translucent and opaque.

47 degrees? Wow! It's over 90 outside for me. I do like a jerkbait. The last couple of years, I keep one tied on all year long. Ghost shad has been doing well for me recently, as well as a chrome color.

Megabass 110 +1 jr in spawn killer, is very similar to that silent riser. It absolutely murders in the fall in lakes here in michigan, especially ones with carp. I've bought 7 just because what they do for 2 months a year.

I'm in Alabama and still have 75 degree water but these cool nights have given me the jerk bait itch. Plus it's time to get wrists, forearms, and shoulders up to speed to be able to throw a jerkbait all day once the water gets colder.

You know, it seems like last week you were waiting on ice out. Now your going to have ice in 4-5 weeks. It's hardly fair! It's not much better here, weather wise. The jet stream is plunging hard on us at this time. But at least I'm not in Florida. I can't say why I don't have that dark red jerk but I'll pick on up tomorrow. I have at least one red of everything else.

they can excel in all water conditions. I prefer a ripple but am happy to fish it when flat calm as well

Great info matt. My local lakes aren't muddy. But that tint of green if you know what I mean. But lately visibility has been about 18 inches or less. If the opportunity arises what color should I throw?
