What are your thoughts on steel plates splatter? Is ceramic a safer choice?

If you're looking at Ballistic Steel Plates, I would recommend getting our Encapsaloc (Full Coat) fragmentation Coating. It's 1/4" thick and helps contain the fragments as they ricochet off the plates. The price point is a little less than Ceramic. We also manufacture ceramic in house here in Tucson AZ. Look at our Hercules Line up for some solid choices from Level IV or RF3 Plates to Level III+ RF2 Plates.

If you strap 6 loaded extra mags on your chest don't worry about it ,mags will create more spalling than than the plate ,lol

​@@jackevans8524 Thanks for the laugh! When I was a kid decades ago out in the woods we would set up rounds as targets, and try to shoot them and make them go off. Ive never understood this thing of strapping mags full of them just under your jugular.
