Choosing the Right: Down vs. Synthetic Insulation

Just bought the unchompadre foundry jacket. I had already tagged out my white tail season so no hunting in the jacket yet. I did how over go on a 5km hike with it on in about -3C. Paired with my first light base layer system I have put together it preformed amazingly. Got warm on the hike I just opened the tricep vents and zipped down the main zipper some. Easily vent the excess heat out and still kept me very comfortably regulated. Then can do it back up and stay very warm. Can’t wait to actually hunt in it! Cheers from Canada eh 🍻🇨🇦👍🏻

Down is harder to wash and doesn’t transfer sweat outside well as well.

If you’re sweating you shouldn’t be wearing down! It’s stationary 😂
