I understand the heartache all to well. Cherish every moment you have with them! I, unfortunately, lost my "dog of a lifetime," Moose, at 2.5 due to congenital kidney failure - there was nothing we could do. He was everything I could have ever dreamed of. He was my first and I trained him all on my own and he was my world. By the grace of God, in losing Moose, I was given Nes, my second "dog of a lifetime". God is good; even in the darkest valleys, He will shine mercy that we do not deserve. Matthew 14:31 - And immediately Jesus reached out His hand and said, "You of little faith, why did you doubt me".
