Salaam alaikum. Do you know where the XF Bumpers made and how have they held up over time/multiple drops?
@zealfittv33483 жыл бұрын
Waalaikumussalam. We think they're made in latvia. The old version was not good. we're not sure of the new ones because as of now, we've not received any complaints from our customers. Our suggestion is if you can afford it, get the sport training plates.
@loyal2no1463 жыл бұрын
@@zealfittv3348 Yeah I'd love to get the Sport training plates, however are they as durable as the bumpers and can be dropped over and over again?
@zealfittv33483 жыл бұрын
Sport training plates are more durable than the XF bumpers. With recycled rubber bumpers, the first thing that will give away is the center hub.

@@zealfittv3348 but do the XF's smell alot? or is it that the training plates dont smell at all?
@zealfittv33482 жыл бұрын
We think it's relative. The XF does have a smell, but it's not pungent/smelly to us. Sports training plates also have a smell, but not as strong as the XF, but both in our opinion do not stink up a room... in our opinion.

Would you please test the XF bumper to be dropped? There’s a review say that XF bumper is the most quiet when were dropped. I wonder how much quiet it is.

Do you have any experience with the Vulcano discs? I see they have no steel insert in the hole. I could be worried that the poly would crack during heavy deadlifts.
@zealfittv33483 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, we have not. Our guess is that the PU will tear/crack over time. However, in terms of price and functionality, the IPF comp plates would suit your purpose better?
@keysersoze59203 жыл бұрын
I have 257.5kgs of Vulcano discs; great discs! They’re 20mm smaller in diameter than regular discs (430mm vs. 450mm). They’re durable as long as you do not drop them.

Do you have any Eleiko Vulcano Olympic Plates? I can't find any reviews on them but I do see them on FB Marketplace.
@zealfittv33484 жыл бұрын
No we don't. In general, they're more used in commercial gyms or plate loaded machines and we are and have none of those.

I have Eleiko Vulcano discs and they’re great but mainly for plate loaded machines.
@silask69214 жыл бұрын
@@keysersoze5920 why are they More vor plate loaded maschines in your opinion?
@keysersoze59204 жыл бұрын
@@silask6921 Eleiko Vulcano discs are great. However, they are smaller in diameter than the other Eleiko discs (430mm v. 450mm), have the 5 grip holes, and are urethane over a steel core (thus they are not designed to be dropped). They’re designed mainly for plate loaded machines due to their smaller diameter, and grip holes that easily enable one to load them onto such machines where they won’t be dropped nor scratch the machine. You can also use them for body weight exercises (hence the holes). You CAN use them with a barbell, but not when performing the Olympic lifts (unless you want to break them and your platform or floor).

Our opinion is if you have the cash, get the IWF plates. Just remember that over time, the paint will come off. Sport training plates' paint last longer. The IWF plates is a lot harder, feels premium and should last a long time (it was drop tested like 5000 times or something like that).

Azmir, what is your opinion on mixing discs. as much as i want shiny plates at home, having 200kg worth of these plates is going to break the bank. i was considering getting a pair of 20kg bumper or sport training discs and then filling up the rest with cheap cast iron plates from lazada or something. what do you think? alternatively, do you sport your own in house/locally made cheaper cast iron plates? for powerlifting btw.
@zealfittv33483 жыл бұрын
For powerlifting, just go with the steel IPF plates. They're about the price of the xf bumpers. Definitely don't go for sport training. It's ok to mix, but that's where my OCD kicks in. I like the same type of plates on my bar 🤣 There are many companies selling cheap steel plates in Malaysia (i assume you're from here).
