I've been flying for over 6 years now and I just discovered this great intro to VTX's. Great foundational info. Didn't know how R-Band came about!
@le_ti_lik5 жыл бұрын
Before watching the video, I have to say you can't go wrong with the eachine tx805. It's a 12 buck 800mw VTX, I've used them for about a year before switching to unifys and I have to say it's the best bang for buck vtx on the market. Pretty reliable as well, never had one burn out, only had one short circuit due to crashing in snow.

Super informative videos as always Jeff! On close ups, is there a way you guys can start having a separate camera for those close “zoom-in” shots? My son was wanting to see a close up of the difference between MMCX and UFL and a few other things you were explaining. I didn’t have any on hand to show him at the time.👍🏼

I know RR has build vids, but you should add a new build and set up vid for beginners at the end of this series. GJ.
@highflyingfl39055 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. They should do this every 3 or 4 months. Plus on the build they should have budget normal and higher end options on each build. Should also have build videos for experience level beginner amateur etc....

Thanks for the tips! I would never of thought that a higher output on the VTX could make it worse on multi passing in bad RF areas. And I do use MMCX 90° pigtails because swooping down the side of the VTX with a 4 inch pigtail works quite nicely but then that just means more lost through each connection is that correct? thanks!

I have question, What stops the drone from flipping over when you put a big heavy gopro on top?
@anthonyyaghi63425 жыл бұрын
It uses a controller with feedback like a PID. There is a gyro sensor that tells the controller if the drone is tilted and by how much on each axis. The controller then calculates the required rpm for each motor to keep the drone leveled.

hey man, im just starting out on fpv, but i have an issue and i happen to use the same vtx, maybe you could give me a hint? the vtx does connect to my googles as the signal symbol on screen indicates, but i only get a black picture so obviously there is no video data. Do you think the problem is related to the camera or might it be the transmitter as well? Because i am about to switch parts to point out the source of failure, but the thing is, i had these parts lying around for quiet some time now and i accidentally put power on the vtx without mounted antenna a few times already.. So do you have - by chance - some educated guess wether i should change camera or vtx first? i would appreciate any kind of help since im trying to save a bit of money ;)

Why are there no big antennas on these vtx, like the antennas on the goggles ? Are they outdated and the small antennas better now ?
@VORT3XFPV5 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you mean by big. If you mean big and square or just kind of strangely shaped in general, you may be talking about directional antennas. Some antennas are specifically designed as receiving antennas. In general, antennas have gotten smaller with the same quality of video so you may see larger ones on goggles because that's an older antenna that a pilot still had and now uses it as a receiver antenna with a new, smaller one on the quad.
@dwayneh30105 жыл бұрын
What you're seeing is the lead wire for the antenna. The antenna screws onto the end of those wires.
