For anyone who doesn't know, the Erdtree Burial Watchdog takes inspiration from a enemy called the Chi-bot from the Tenchu series, a game series From used to work on. It was a small, wooden mechanical puppet with the pale face of a child. It would patrol in a sitting position with a small knife in hand. A signature detail was it could levitate and and drop down in a attack.

@DarrielOni Жыл бұрын
The blow which finished the battle was delivered not with malice, nor anger. Not even the cold indifference of a construct. Rather, it was gratitude which ultimately fueled the giant's pyre. For it had allowed the Watchdog to understand something it could not have imagined, and now it shall teach him in turn as well. Learn, o giant, the true meaning of pain.

Also, the start of the 2nd phase Rennala fight, where she's just kinda paused, looking at it like "...uh. Ok, I guess I should attack you OHGODFRYWHATTHEFUCK." And now I'm thinking about speed boosting other enemies, like the rock worms (specifically the ones that attack you by spinning around), or the golems that fire arrows. It's always entertaining and/or frustrating to see how the AI handles the puzzle/gimmick bosses. I love the little arrow pointing out the last golden kid and how long it took the Watchdog to find and kill it. It's honestly hilarious Watchdog moves in these fights. I'm very glad it didn't do that in my fights against its various iterations. It's not a particularly tough boss unless it decides to bring friends to the party. That one in the Impaler's Catacombs can absolutely go to hell. I hated it spawning in a bunch of those stone imps, which would almost immediately stunlock me even when using a spirit summons. I left it be a while and then came back a bit stronger and with the Skeletal Militiamen ashes off that tibia mariner up in those watery ruins in NE Limgrave. Thankfully the imps' AI was too stupid to interrupt the skellies standing back up, so I let them handle the imps while I focused on the watchdog. The one that's in the cave near Stormveil was the one that dropped the cat stone imp helm (or an imp in that cave dropped it), which I understand is a reasonably rare drop. I've been wearing that helm for so long that I've nearly forgotten what my character actually looks like. Haven't found another helm yet with better stats or that I like more. I can also keep wearing pretty good armor and such without fat rolling.
