So happy to publish the last of the Chopin Etudes tutorials! (I obviously didn't record these in order haha). We have now covered all of the Op.10 and Op.25 etudes in ProPractice. I originally started ProPractice in 2014, and it continues to be a project I'm very passionate about. Thank you for your years of support and friendship. For those of you thinking "Wait! Those aren't all of Chopin's Etudes...what about the 3 Nouvelles Etudes, Op. Posth.?" I do plan to record those at some point in the future as well :)

I watch a tons of performances of great pianists but your interpretation is always my favorite for almost every piece. Really delicate and beautiful. I agree with your interpretations on so many levels. Thank you so much for the videos. You make me love classical music and playing piano even more!

Love your videos!!! I don’t miss one, but it would be helpful to have the score on the top right part of the video to follow the music.

I believe this Taubman approach which I’d like to learn makes us rethink the ways we play Chopin etudes, even difficult ones like Op.10 No.2

Would you please give me some recommendations on how to play the E Major section in the left hand? It is very difficult and I am curious as to how I can improve my technique in that area.

8:43 damn those thirds must’ve be a nightmare for you
@joshwrightpiano4 жыл бұрын
Haha they are. I can do them just fine with an inverted fingering (42-15) but with the straight fingering (13-24, or 13-25) they have been one of my biggest challenges as a pianist. Ascending or descending thirds aren't too difficult for me, but thirds trills....they have been my nemesis.
