How long do you think youll have to play piano before you can play the edutes from Chopin?
@PaulBartonPiano9 жыл бұрын
How long depends on how badly you want to.

***** haha! That was a great answer! Ive play 5/6 years and really love playing. For 2 mouths i discovered chopins art! I love the nocturnes and waltzes, but really want to play the Etude called Winter Winds! Its kinda hard i think! What do you think about it?
@PaulBartonPiano9 жыл бұрын
Vetle Nærø Vetie, I made an introduction to Winter Wind some time ago, I hope it encourages you to begin playing it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m2Pbq5Wujb9onK8 it's such a wonderful piece.

Start right now, these are etudes, etudes to learn and have fun with. Nobody should scare away only because they think they are too bad to try it. With this mindset, you will never get good!
@arber72405 жыл бұрын
Im looking on getting started with chopin etudes. Should I learn this one first? It seems like its the easiest of the bunch.

yes, this or 25/2

@kainoamh And 10/9 with the "big" jumps.

This one seems easy but it’s not, it’s just slow, but the fingerings are awkward and the “correct” color and tone are difficult to achieve. I would start with op. 25 no 2/1. They are faster but fit nicely into the hands, and I think it’s also easier to give an interpretation to them
@vincent-ataramaniko3 жыл бұрын
This one looks easy but even Paul Barton makes many mistakes in it. It isn't easy at all.

super ! why at the mesure 7 the last note is do ( bemol) or you play do ( not alteration ) ? kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpLEm3akmd55Z68 i try to make on the guitar ( it s just the beginning with some forget ( half mesure )
@rigel484 жыл бұрын
Sure, it's beautiful, but frankly I prefer it when you play it at Chopin's metronome marking. The music is so much more moving.
@m.g.manuel36002 жыл бұрын
You play the accacciaturas wrong
@wavetuning9 жыл бұрын
I didn't detect any false notes, congrats! Perhaps playing a little too fast though.
@PaulBartonPiano9 жыл бұрын
there's a slower version on my channel too.
@mantictac6 жыл бұрын
This is orders of magnitude slower than Chopin's tempo indication.

Sounds easy until you see the sheets
@cunite92633 жыл бұрын
Actually it's not easy as I'm currently studying it till mastered. There's something about the melody that's really haunting and so contagious that i keep playing it again and again
@339lenny9 жыл бұрын
hey paul can you play chopins nocturne no.4 ?

@PaulBartonPiano9 жыл бұрын
Do you like this Nocturne?
@MrDellDude9 жыл бұрын
I love Nocturne no.4. Chopin was a master at composing nocturnes ( not that he wasn't good at composing other works too ). Scriabin also wrote beautiful nocturnes.
@PaulBartonPiano9 жыл бұрын
Dean Viner Yes, you are right. The 4th Nocturne is both beautiful and interesting because the outer sections are peaceful and calm, like Ballade 2, but the middle section is fast, loud and furious, quite unusual for the idea of a sleepy gentle night piece. Do you think it is like peacefully sleeping, then a nightmare, then going back to peaceful sleep again?

I really don't know why this kind of music is very hard to understand :( I just like Nortune and Waltzes
