きめ細かさと繊細さがすさまじい。 コンクール直後は結構ブライトなピアノを選んでいたようですが、数年後から、控えめな音がするスタンウェイを選んでましたね。またそれが個性的で好きです。88年サントリーでの演奏もそうでした。99年ソウルライブでもそんなピアノを選んでましたね。キラキラして緻密で演出の深さに圧倒されました。 最近は復活もされて、ピアノをファツィオリに変更しても応援します。

I'm 80 years old, and this is still my favorite piano piece of all the things Chopin wrote. Bunin is by far the best I've heard.

I saw him play about 20 years ago. He played Chopin with the most romance and feel. I love his interpretation of Chopin. He seemed very shy and dreamy between pieces, very endearing.

I played almost every version youtube had to offer and finally found this - beautiful - he was the only one that truely played from his heart - Chopin put the challenge out there to structure passion and this guy did it

Man this might be the best interpretation I've heard. Bunin plays the second section so well. Its full of life and has direction, perfect rubato, like Chopin himself would be playing. Most other versions of the second section can drag and be boring, this version really grabs your attention.

Chopin actually disliked this composition. I can't remember why but I'll bet if he heard Bunin play it he may change his mind. Bunin has amazing control, dynamics and beautiful phrasing! A wonderful performance indeed!

私はピアノを習い始めてから、一年半が過ぎ、かつら音楽研究所で習っていた時から、ツェルニー40番練習曲の16番を少なくとも666回は練習しました。それに加え、ハノン20番までとツェルニー30番練習曲集を丸一冊、ツェルニー40番練習曲集の弾けるところとシューベルト即興曲OP90ー4を毎日弾いていました。１日8時間弾いていました。なのに母の言うことを上回って言ってしまった時から、何故か精神科にかかっています。

I always thought my own interpretation was a stretch from the standard. But now Bunin reassured me my interpretation is good, and it was quite a surprise when I realised how closely our interpretations resembled each other, having just found about this extremely underrated pianist after playing fantasie impromptu for four years now.

from 1:10 to 1:16 This part is often played by left hand only. Using both hands is what I've once thought of , but I've never tried because I didn't know anyone who did so. Flexibility... Anyway I like how Bunin put color on this piece.

This is actually one of Chopins posthumous works, he requested that this piece not be published because he was unsatisfied with the piece.

Yes, interesting use of rubato indeed. I'm not so sure I like it though. Great interpretation anyway. One of my favorite parts about Fantasie Impromptu is the fact that it can be interpreted in so many different ways.

Yeah, maybe, but I have the feeling that it's NOT supposed to be let out. Igoshina gets close to the line, but she doesn't cross it. I think Bunin does that.

Et celui,prodigieux,des derniers nocturnes. Of course it resembled the moonloght sonata, Chopin intentionally used the descending stream of notes from the end of the 3rd movement of the Beethoven sonata at 0:14 to 0:16 in the video.
