Brahms' piano concertos are sometimes described as symphonies with piano obligato. I think Chopin's concertos are literally the opposite, they're piano sonatas with orchestra obligato. Rondo à la Krakowiak is clearly more balanced than the two concertos.

Can't believe chopin wrote something like this. So unusual from his other works

Same, I didn’t know about this !

I have his whole collection, and never heard of this. Pleasant surprise
@Henri.d.Olivoir2 жыл бұрын
Not so unusual actually. If you listen to some of his early works, all in his more youthful and brilliant early style, like his Rondo in C minor Op. 1, his Andante Spianato et Grande Polonaise Billante, his Piano Trio in G minor, his two piano concertos, but more especially the No. 1, as well as a whole bunch of other works, even some from later periods, you will notice quite a big similarity. As you probably know, Chopin lived quite a harsh life, and both the brilliance and vivacity present in his earlier works disappeared after his migration from Poland, in favour of a more melancholic, melodic and, in his own words simple style.

You can really hear his youthful energy in this piece. Provides the sense of an ocean breeze at moments, a distinctly odd sensation to hear from Chopin. Such innocent melodies tucked away here.

BRAVO! GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE CHOPIN! If you welcome recommendations, I have one; I would love to see Chopin's Piano Trio in G minor Op. 8, it is an extremely underrated piece, and no one has done it in synthesia form yet! If you want to do it, I would recommend the recording from the Beaux Arts Trio, with Menahem Pressler, Isidore Cohen and Bernard Greenhouse. If you prefer a more famous piece that would give you more views and was also not done by anyone before, there is Chopin's Cello Sonata in G minor Op. 65; in case you plan on doing this marvelous work, I recommend the recording from Truls Mørk and Kathryn Stott. Thank you!

The whole Chopin, not counting the most hackneyed works, is underestimated! Many don't even bother to listen to all of his nocturnes, scherzos or mazurkas, and you're talking about works that no one knows at all, and that's a big problem. Chopin has no bad works for my taste at all
