Another of Chopin's great Nocturnes which I don't think I've previously heard. This is really a treat, Haley!! Wonderfully played as always!!

There are so many 'hidden' gems in Chopin's nocturnes. This is why I wanted to discover them for myself! I will be definitely including these pieces in future recital programmes 🎶 thank you for listening!!

You should listen to them all, so many beautiful pieces

@@rachmusic9873 hi Jack, I've actually recorded all of them as part of my Chopin Nocturne Project. The last nocturne will be shared on the 25th of June 🤗

@@HaleyMyles I know 👍. I’m excited to listen through them all when they are up. I should have been more specific I was replying to the original comment that said they hadn’t heard this before. Btw.. Do you have any advise on how to smooth out the polyrhythms in op.9 no.1 since they are all so different throughout the piece i always seem to fall into free time when playing them. Rushing notes and just trying to makes it passable with what’s going on in the left hand. any advise would be appreciated 😁

@@rachmusic9873 ah, okay! I understand now ☺️ For sure, I'd be delighted to help you with polyrhythms in Chopin. It might be more beneficial to work on each run individually as they are different every time. There isn't a 'cookie-cutter' approach or piece of advice to better play all of the polyrhythms in this piece. If you would like to meet through Zoom for an online lesson, do let me know 🎵

Really beautiful interpretation! I just feel the audio quality doesn't do you justice, but otherwise really superb!

Please check out my interpretation of the complete nocturnes, available here on KZbin as a score video. The audio there is mastered 😊 the album is also available on all streaming platforms!
