Pianoteq 7 produces such beautiful sound. I don't regret buying it.

I agree. It sounds much more alive and realistic than sampled piano sounds that come out of, say, a Kawai or a Yamaha. And they sound more realistic and natural than the modeled sounds from a Roland.

Excellent performance. Came here by way of a random thread on pianoworld, where I was stunned by some incredibly rude feedback that you received. I think you play this nocturne wonderfully and think it's great that you've been honing it for some time. You've got my sub - look forward to hearing the CA79 paired with Pianoteq.

Hi Wonderful playing... good octaves... afaik, FP-10 isn't capable of half-pedalling... but you still did a great job on the passages >04:22 onwards passages...
@stevenwarner915611 ай бұрын
It is capable of half-pedaling, but you need Roland's DP-10 pedal to get access to that functionality.

I purchased according to you, and I am impressed with the purchase. but how do I disable the internal sound on the headphones when running as midi on DAW VST????
@DigitalPianoClassical7 ай бұрын
Why not plug the headphones into the computer running the daw rather than the FP10? But that aside...can you not just turn down the volume? I don't think that should affect the midi volume, but would stop the internal sound coming through the headphones. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something.

@DigitalPianoClassical3 ай бұрын
Thank-you. I just use a normal (free) video editor and add the audio as a second channel...then manually move it about until it fits the video. It can be a bit fiddly, but usually doesn't take too long.

Hello very good work, I would love to know how to record the audio from your keyboard, I have the same keyboard and I would love to record the audio.
@DigitalPianoClassical Жыл бұрын
Hi. To record audio from the FP10 you need to plug the audio out from the keyboard into something that can record audio. For this video the audio is from some software on the laptop though which creates the audio file for you...

I am planning to purchase FP10 to resume my practice with acoustic piano, and I found your video on YT. It is a really nice playing. I just wonder if you have any issue with the keyboard after the long-term practice.
@DigitalPianoClassical7 ай бұрын
Thanks. I found it quite easy to move from playing the FP10 to playing a real piano, and also to my new Kawai. The actions are different on each, certainly, with the cheaper FP10 being the least "smooth", and precise, but there's no doubt it helped me to improve my playing.

@@DigitalPianoClassical what Kawai is it if I may ask? Are you really feeling what some people describe about having a short pivoted keybed like the PHA4 in the sense of difficulty at playing towards the fallboard? Is it really that bad? Great rendition BTW congrats
@toxmot2 жыл бұрын
@@DigitalPianoClassical oh man, that's a tough wait, I hope you will get it soon. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait 😊 Kawai went up so much I think right about the time you probably purchased. They are very hard to come by and it's the same everywhere.
@DigitalPianoClassical2 жыл бұрын
@@DavidIzquierdoAzzouz It's a CA79, which was lovely when I demoed it. I have to say that I think the short pivot is noticeable. I can work around it certainly, but it puts a little more strain on my fingers. It also make voicing slightly harder.

is it possible to connect FP-10 with pianoteq and choose the sound and it will be played by FP-10 build-in speakers ?

Sounds awesome! I'm a total beginner and am curious why did you decide on the Kawai CA79 digital piano instead of getting a upright acoustic piano. I imagine they would be about the same size?
@DigitalPianoClassical2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. An acoustic piano is significantly bigger and heavier than the CA79 (76kg vs 288kg and 145cm vs 153cm) and I don't think I could fit it in my lift! Living in an apartment I also mostly play using headphones, so that was also a factor.

Amazing, this sounds beautiful, like a recording from a grand piano. This perfectly demonstrates how convincing and expressive the Pianoteq/FP10 pairing can be when played by a great pianist. Are you using the stock FP10 pedal or do you have the half damper one? Have you tried to use any of the alternative piano tunings for the FP10 internal engine? The GP607 preset by Hugo Veryzer sounds pretty great to my ears.
@DigitalPianoClassical2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The latest Pianoteq update improved the Steinway D sound quite a lot to my ears. Much fuller tone, with less ringing. I'm still just using the stock FP10 pedal, but looking forward to having half-pedal on the new piano. I haven't heard the Hugo V sounds. I'll look into it!
