Really helpful...and I've been playing this for 60 years!!! I would have liked more - to hear you deal with the hope (rising phrase) and the disappointment (falling phrase). Yes, a link to your analysis of each prelude would be very valuable (tho' search is easy enough). The two videos work well together, as they do for Prelude No 5.

Another amazing lesson, thank you professor! I fell in love with this piece after watching your analysis video - I found your comparison of this prelude with the fight for Polish independence to be incredibly meaningful. I’ve never had this much enjoyment practicing hands separately until this piece, there’s so much for each hand to learn! I had never thought about the left hand as a cello before, and thinking about the back and forth movement of the bow is very interesting to me. I have a quick question about the fingering in the RH - should I be alternating between 5 for the accents and 4 for the offbeats when playing the repeated note? I find my hand has more movement when playing like this, and I’m curious about your thoughts on playing the repeated note. Thank you so much for making these lessons, and sharing your insights with us 😊 edit: sorry for the wall of text, i get lost in thought when talking about piano sometimes 🫠

Beautiful sad prelude accessible for beginners, yet its true challenge skill is mastering the nuanced dynamics and distinct voices woven into each hand. I think the most hard part is from bar no15 to no22 When the left hand plays the B minor scale descending and it should be beautifully loader then right hand. Thank you so much and please don’t stop this series of Chopin preludes.
